Israeli forces say they are operating in the shaft which it exposed at the Al-Shifa Hospital during their ground operation in the Gaza Strip. At least 15 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air bombardments of the central and southern Gaza Strip on November 19, as per a WAFA report. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu defended the military's actions in Gaza, saying "Israel abides by the laws of war. Netanyahu vehemently said the "Palestinian Authority in its current format cannot get control of Gaza”. Iran has warned that the approach taken by the US and Israel in the region makes the expansion of the war quite possible.
