The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is offering free coaching for the Civil Services Examination. BHU has extended the last date for filling out forms for Civil Services Prelims coaching. The new deadline for form submission is November 20, 2023. Interested candidates can apply online on the BHU portal www.bhu.ac.in/dace. According to the notification issued by BHU, free coaching for Civil Services (Preliminary and Main Examination) 2023-24 is provided for candidates belonging to SC and OBC categories. The coaching is conducted by Dr Ambedkar Excellence Center at BHU. There are a total of 100 seats available for admission, with 70% reserved for SC candidates and 30% for OBC candidates. In addition, 30% of these seats are reserved for female candidates. The application fee for admission to the free coaching for Civil Services Examination at BHU is Rs 200.
Eligibility Criteria:
Graduation from any recognised educational institution with at least 50% marks.
Age should be between 21 and 35 years.
Candidates currently employed are not eligible.
Candidates must belong to the SC or OBC category.
Annual family income of the candidate should not exceed Rs 8 lakh.
Candidates need to clear the entrance exam by BHU for their free UPSC coaching program.
Entrance Exam Date:
The entrance exam for admission to free coaching for Civil Services Examination at BHU was initially scheduled for November 25. Since the last date for application submission has been extended to November 20, the exam date may also be subject to change. Candidates are advised to check the BHU portal for any updates.
Entrance Exam Pattern:
The entrance exam for free coaching for the Civil Services Examination will consist of 300 marks, with 100 questions in total. Each question will carry 3 marks. The questions will cover General Studies, Reasoning and Analytical Aptitude, General English, and General Hindi.
How much stipend will be paid?
Selected UPSC aspirants receiving free coaching at BHU will also receive a monthly stipend of Rs 4,000. Candidates who clear the UPSC Civil Services Mains exam or State Services Mains exam will receive an incentive of Rs 15,000.
