Following the incident, BTS member V aka Kim Taehyung also took to Weverse and assured his fans that he is safe.

The Gangnam Police of Seoul in South Korea has arrested a woman for allegedly stalking globally popular BTS singer V aka Kim Taehyung. Reportedly, the woman, who is said to be in her 20s, followed the singer into the elevator of his apartment. She not only tried to speak to V but also handed him a marriage certificate.

It has been reported that the stalker waited for the K-pop singer outside his apartment building and followed him inside the elevator after V drove his car into the parking area. As reported by Naver News, the police took action after the security guard of the building where V lives, complained about the incident. She was identified via CCTV footage and details regarding her were traced from the marriage certificate that she handed over to V.

As reported by Soompi, the woman has now been prohibited to approach Kim Taehyung in the future and has also been asked not to be within 100 meters of the singer.

Following the incident, V also took to Weverse and assured his fans that he is safe. “Hehe I’m okay (fine) don’t worry,” he wrote.

Later, BigHit Music also issued a statement that read, “We are responding with a no-tolerance policy to stalking crimes that disturb our artist’s personal life and threaten their safety.”

The incident comes a month after BigHit Music also talked about an individual who was allegedly sharing ‘violent and offensive abusive comments’ against the singer. The agency revealed that a criminal complaint was filed against him and warned all that it will continue to ‘eliminate illegal activities’ and take action against those sharing ‘malicious’ posts related to BTS members, including the ones who are currently fulfilling their mandatory military services.

BTS members Jin and J-Hope are currently serving in military. Recently, BigHit Music also confirmed Suga’s military enlistment. Details regarding the military service of the rest of the group members – RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will be shared by this year end.
