The Instagram post captured Sumbul Touqeer in a playful pose donning and holding kitchen equipment like a knife, rolling pin, casserole dish, etc., reminiscent of her time on the show’s set. Accompanying the image was a text that read, “3 years of Imlie. Forever grateful.”
Imlie is a hit TV series produced by Gul Khan’s Four Lions Films. Recently, the show jumped 20 years ahead. In this new phase, Adrija Roy and Sai Ketan Rao have stepped into significant roles. Adrija Roy resumes her character as Imlie, while Sai Ketan Rao takes on the role of Agastya. The on-screen camaraderie and chemistry between the two characters in the initial episodes have resonated positively with the audience.
Sumbul recently marked her 20th birthday with a delightful celebration on the sets of her ongoing show, Kavya- Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon. The actress experienced a pleasant surprise, surrounded by cakes and the warm company of her co-stars, father, and sister. Donning a vibrant blue saree, a video captured the joyful moment as Sumbul happily cut the birthday cakes amidst the celebratory atmosphere.

Post-shoot, the celebrations continued as Sumbul Touqeer hosted a small party for her friends. Notably, she reunited with her Imlie co-stars Mayuri Deshmukh and Ritu Chaudhary, along with close friend Ulka Gupta. The actress opted for a simple yet elegant look at the bash, donning a white bodycon dress and minimal makeup.

However, it was her portrayal of Imlie that catapulted her to stardom, earning her a massive fan base. The show tells the story of Kavya, an IAS officer dealing with the challenges of balancing work and personal life as a woman while highlighting the immense responsibility of managing the country’s affairs.
