Apple has extended the free service for iPhone 14 users by one more year.

The company introduced the SOS emergency feature via satellite with the iPhone 14 last year.

This feature allows iPhone users to contact emergency services when they don’t have network.

Apple says that if you bought the iPhone 14 before November 15, 2023 you are eligible for the free extension.

The satellite feature was initially offered for 2 years and one more added means they get it for three years now.

Apple worked with Globalstar for the technology which is also available on the new iPhone 15 series models.

Many people thought that Apple will finally share the pricing details to use the satellite feature.

But it seems the company is waiting for the wider rollout before it starts charging a fee for offering the service.

The satellite feature has launched in 16 countries so far which includes the US, UK, New Zealand, Canada, Spain and Belgium among others.
