The 2021 Marathi film Jhimma was the second highest-grossing film of the year. Its success led Aanand L Rai to make its sequel Jhimma 2.

Suchitra Bandekar, one of the most popular actresses in Indian cinema, is primarily known for her contributions to Marathi cinema. Her last appearance in the film Baipan Bhari Deva, directed by Kedar Shinde, was showered with immense love and appreciation. Released on June 30, Baipan Bhaari Deva is based on the lives of six sisters.

Now, the actress is all set to entertain the masses with her next appearance in the upcoming Marathi film Jhimma 2. Ahead of the film’s release on November 24, Suchitra has revealed that this could be the last film of her career.

In a recent interview with Marathi entertainment portal Majja, the actress spoke about her upcoming film and said, “I have done only 8 films in my career of 20-22 years. Two of them were released this year. Now, Jhimma 2 will be my last film. I can’t talk about the next movie as I don’t even know when will it happen.”

It is worth noting that the Marathi film Jhimma, released in 2021, was the second highest-grossing film of the year. The success of the film led Aanand L Rai to make its sequel, Jhimma 2 which is all set for its release. Helmed by Hemant Dhome, the movie will boast an ensemble cast comprising Nirmiti Sawant, Kshitee Jog, Suhas Joshi, Sayali Sanjeev and Siddharth Chandekar. On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, the poster of the film was dropped by the makers. In addition to that, Rinku Rajguru and Shivani Surve will also be playing a pivotal role in the film.

Suchitra Bandekar’s some of the best works include Singham, Simmba and Jhimma. Her other notable projects are Ranangan, Ishq Wala Love, Rama Madhav, Full 3 Dhamaal and Mala Aai Vhhaychy. Besides, she will also be featured in a few upcoming television soaps including Gahire Pani, Vahini Saheb and Aabhaas Ha.

Meanwhile, her last film Baipan Bhaari Deva had a stellar cast including Vandana Gupte, Rohini Hattangadi, Sukanya Mone, Shilpa Navalkar and Deepa Parab in the primary roles.
