The Grevin Museum, situated in the French capital, Paris, has recently undertaken the task of rectifying a wax representation of the well-known actor and WWE wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, affectionately recognised by his ring name, The Rock. This life-sized wax figure was unveiled to the public earlier this month and faced an outpouring of disapproval for its skin colour from various quarters. Even Dwayne Johnson himself expressed his dissatisfaction on Instagram and shared a video in which comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr humorously derided the wax statue’s portrayal.

In a jesting manner, Jefferson commented that the museum had managed to transform The Rock into a mere “pebble,” further asserting that the wax figure depicted the wrestler-turned-actor as if he had never experienced a single day of sunlight in his life.

The comedian candidly remarked that the artist responsible for this work should perhaps abstain from participating in the creation of characters in the popular Sims video game, and he recommended against the artist assisting his own offspring with any art and craft projects, implying that solitary efforts might yield better results.

“You’ve transformed The Rock into David Beckham. He appears to be on the verge of joining the Royal family.” In a lighthearted manner, he also alluded to the recent alteration of the character Ariel in “The Little Mermaid” and expressed a desire to have the original Rock figure reinstated, questioning whether the artist had even taken the trouble to conduct an online search to ascertain The Rock’s authentic appearance.

Dwayne Johnson, in response to this amusing critique, revealed his intention to instruct his team to initiate a dialogue with their associates at the Grevin Museum in Paris. This exchange would be focused on the vital task of “updating my wax figure,” with a particular emphasis on correcting the portrayal of his skin tone.

In a playful tone, he concluded by mentioning his intention to visit the museum during his next sojourn in Paris, with a promise to share a drink with his waxen doppelganger.

After this development, a report from BBC disclosed that the Grevin Museum had come to acknowledge the validity of The Rock’s comments.

The museum staff diligently worked throughout the night to address the issue concerning the wax figure’s skin tone. Initially attributing the discrepancy to a “lighting issue,” Museum director Yves Delhommeau conveyed his intent to welcome The Rock for a future visit to assess if any additional adjustments might be warranted, reported BBC.
